JOB TITLE: NDT INSPECTOR

SUMMARY:

Perform non-destructive testing/inspection of hardware to determine compliance to customer specifications. Assist Chief Inspector in the development of NDT techniques and procedures. Perform system verification activities

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist in maintaining NDT inventory and ordering of supplies.
* Perform system verification activities and ensure suitability of equipment and materials prior to use.
* Perform NDT testing/inspection (MT and PT) including interpretation and evaluation of indications to determine product acceptability.
* Assist in the development of NDT techniques and procedures for MT and PT
* Analyze customer specifications and identify need for procedural changes to achieve compliance
* Prepare inspection documentation and complete records of inspection for traceability
* Ensure proper control of nonconforming hardware including but not limited to identification, segregation, notification, records and any re-inspection activities.
* Perform dimensional verifications using micrometers, calipers, and/or customer supplied tools/gages
* Perform receiving and in-process inspections to ensure part acceptability prior to processing and between operations
* Maintain measuring tools, equipment and gages in a manner to preserve from damage and deterioration.
* Perform pre-inspection cleaning and assist AMF lab with etch rate controls
* Assist in training new personnel as applicable
* Assist other departments when needed.
* Package and protect parts for shipment
* Read and interpret detailed instructions (i.e.: blueprints, drawings, specifications, etc…) to determine product conformance

SUMMARY:

Perform parts inspection and process control testing to ensure product acceptability prior to shipment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Read and interpret detailed instructions (i.e.: blueprints, drawings, specifications, etc…) to determine product conformance.
* Review work order for verification of parts accurate completion. Achieve resolution to any identified conflict prior to shipment.
* Perform visual inspections
* Assist with packaging and protection of parts for shipment.
* General housekeeping
* Assist in training new personnel as applicable
* Assist other departments when needed.
* Apply part markings as applicable
* Ensure traceability of hardware is maintained during processing and shipment thru tags, labels, work order completion, etc.
* Perform receiving and in-process inspections to ensure part acceptability prior to processing and between operations
* Maintain measuring tools, equipment and gages in a manner to preserve from damage and deterioration.
* Perform variety of testing, including but not limited to thickness, adhesion, solvent, gloss, water break, litmus and continuity, for determination of parts compliance to requirements.
* Ensure proper control of nonconforming hardware including but not limited to identification, segregation, notification, records and any re-inspection activities.
* Perform dimensional verifications using micrometers, calipers, and/or customer supplied tools/gages
